Sunday Night Football sees an old-school AFC rivalry renewed as the 1-1 Raiders host the 1-1 Steelers for this week three clash. After pulling out a narrow 17-16 away win over Denver in week one, the Raiders were quickly brought back down to Earth in week two. They were unfortunate to meet up with a ticked-off Buffalo Bills team who soundly beat them by a score of 38-10. Vegas now returns to the Allegiant Stadium for their home season opener in primetime on Sunday night. New quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo looks to be still acclimating himself with his new Vegas surroundings. It has been a lukewarm start for the former Patriot and 49er who has thrown for 385 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in his first two games. 

The Steelers have their defense to thank for their 26-22 bounce back home win over the Browns on Monday Night Football last week. Pittsburgh forced Browns QB Deshaun Watson into four turnovers on the night, returning two for defensive touchdowns. If it hadn’t been for the defensive scores, the Steelers likely would have lost the game. Quarterback Kenny Pickett has been far from convincing in his time as the starter with career numbers of nine touchdowns and 12 interceptions since taking over last year. Pittsburgh has the coaching advantage here with Mike Tomlin but they’re playing on a short week and on the road here. With their offensive really struggling to keep drives going and progress the ball downfield, they could be looking at another defeat.
