The Los Angeles Clippers host the Toronto Raptors at the Crypto.com Arena for this Thursday night NBA clash. The Clippers have dropped all the way down to eighth in the Western Conference following a lengthy losing streak and now hold a record of 34 wins and 33 losses. It hasn’t been a great start to the Russell Westbrook era in LA as the Clippers have won only one game since acquiring the former MVP. That win came in their last outing, as LA would outlast the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 135-129. The game saw huge production from the Clippers two superstars as Kawhi Leonard dropped 34 points while Paul George went for 42. The win snapped a five game losing streak and Los Angeles will be hoping they can jump start their season with this current home stand as their next four games will be at the Crypt. The Clippers are just 16-15 at home this season and have an excellent opportunity to slap some home wins on the board starting Wednesday with the welcome of Toronto. 

The visiting Toronto coms into this matchup battling towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Raptors currently hold one of the play-in tournament positions, sitting ninth in the standings with a record of 32 wins and 34 losses. It’s a congested race for the final spots in the East as Toronto trails the eight-place Hawks by half a game while holding a slim one game lead over the 10th-place Wizards. The Raptors are coming off a 118-113 away loss to the first-place Denver Nuggets and have struggled to gain consistency during their current stretch of away games. Five of their last six games have come away from home and they’ll have to deal with a final road game when they take on the Lakers on Friday.
