Novak Djokovic's comeback from injury has been hugely successful this year with a victory at Wimbledon and now this semi-final at the US Open. After dropping sets in both of his first two rounds, Djokovic has had three straight sets victories though the highest seed he's had to face was Richard Gasquet (seeded 26th). His win at Wimbledon showed that he was getting back to his best after making his return from injury. Since that win he's also won the Masters tournament in Cincinatti and is back in the top ten in the rankings. This match-up against Kei Nishikori is a repeat of this year's Wimbledon quarter final which Djokovic won in four sets. That win was his 13th in a row over the Japanese player with his last loss to Nishikori being in the 2014 US Open semi-final.

Nishikori has also had his share of injuries and has had to fight his way back up the world rankings. He's also made a sucessful comeback reaching the quarter finals at Wimbledon and the semi-final here. He's bidding to reach his second US Open final having lost here in 2014 where he lost to Marin Cilic, who he got revenge on by beating him in this year's quarter final in an epic five-set match. Before that win he'd only dropped one set in this tournament. The tip here is to go for under 34.5 games to be played in this match.
