The final of the 2023 ITF W100 Surbiton will be contested by the qualifier Yanina Wickmayer and the unseeded Katie Swan on Sunday. Katie Swan is playing in her first final of the season. She will hope to continue with her unrivaled record in the ITF where she has won every single final she has contested. This will be her 13th final but will be the first she has played on grass. Swan is not a strong performer on grass and since 2014 has only once finished with a winning record on the surface. Coupled with her struggles this season, Swan will need to be at her absolute best to win here. She currently has her win/loss record split down the middle after 20 matches played. The Brit was dominant in her last match against compatriot Yuriko Miyazaki as she dropped only one game in the 2-0 win. Swan is up 28 places in the WTA live ranking to number 134.

Yanina Wickmayer is also up in the live ranking following her straight-sets win over crowd favorite Katie Boulter. The win thrust her 14 places to number 126 which is the highest she has ranked this season. Wickmayer is through to her fourth final of the season, all in the ITF and she has so far claimed two titles. This is the first final on grass for the veteran Belgian in 14 years and she will hope to clinch her first title on the surface. Wickmayer started off in Surbiton in the qualifying rounds which was also her debut on grass this season. Five of her six wins have come via straight sets. Wickmayer has been in excellent form throughout 2023 and so far has won 32 of the 41 matches she has played.
