Katerina Siniakova vs Liudmila Samsonova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Bad Homburg Open

World number 15 Liudmila Samsonova will take on 47th-ranked Katerina Siniakova in the quarter-final of the WTA Bad Homburg Open on Thursday. The winner of this match will face either Rebeka Masarova or Emma Navarro in the semi-final. Samsonova comes into this match after a testing encounter against Linda Noskova, which went to a third set. Noskova won the second set tiebreak, but the Russian found her rhythm again in the third and wrapped the match up; however, it did take two and a half hours. She beat Viktoriya Tomova in the previous round, taking her record for the year to 16-14 and 4-2 on the grass. While her record over the last couple of years has been fairly average, the grass has been a surface that she likes having won the German Open and reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in the past. She’ll fancy her chances of progressing here. 

Meanwhile, Siniakova’s form in the doubles competition last week seems to have carried forward into the singles competition this week. She is yet to drop a set here in the Netherlands and beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Evgeniya Rodina in the previous rounds fairly easily. While she has shown glimpses of her best form this season, the Czech has been forced to take it a little slow due to a few niggling fitness issues. Her record for the year reads as 10-9 and 2-1 on the grass. She has the undoubted ability on this surface but will need to find an extra gear to overcome this opponent.
