Karolina Pliskova vs Aryna Sabalenka Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

Second seed Aryna Sabalenka is finally showing a return to form on grass. The Belarusian take on eighth seeded Karolina Pliskova in the semi-final. Neither player has reached a Wimbledon women's singles final in any Grand Slam. Sabalenka had only won one match in three previous visits to Wimbledon. She has played well on grass in the past though reaching the 2018 Eastbourne final but had two poor warm-up events this year. The big-hitter has been in great form during this tournament, getting better as each round goes by. That was shown in the last eight when beating in-form Ons Jabeur in straight sets.

Karolina Pliskova is the world number 13 but is up to eighth in the live rankings. Before this year, Pliskova had failed to get past the fourth round at Wimbledon. Five times she's been beaten in the second round but it's been a much better performance this time around. It's not been the toughest of draws though with wins over Tamara Zidansek, Donna Vekic, Tereza Martincova and Viktorija Golubic. No seeds have been beaten and now she takes on Sabalenka who in two previous meetings she has never beaten, including a loss on grass in Eastbourne. Sabalenka looks in the better form and she can get the win.
