Karolina Pliskova vs Amanda Anisimova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

It's been an up and down year for Karolina Pliskova but the Czech is in good form at present. The fourth seed bids for a place in the last 32 of the US Open when taking on unseeded Amanda Anisimova. Pliskova slipped out of the top ten at one stage this year but is back up to fourth now. Three major finals have been reached this year, including Wimbledon. No titles though for Pliskova since January of last year. The Czech beat Caty McNally in straight sets in the first round of this event. Pliskova is a former world number one but is yet to win a Grand Slam title.

Amanda Anisimova began the year ranked 30th but is now 75th. Ranking points earned when getting to the last four of the 2019 French Open have been taken off, hence the drop down the rankings. Only two last eight appearances for the American this year and no wins in Grand Slams. This week saw Anisimova break her duck with a win over Zarina Dyas in straight sets. Now she has to try and beat Pliskova for the first time. There have been three previous losses, the most recent in Canada last month and Anisimova is yet to take a set off the world number four.
