Unseeded Gabriel Diallo is through to his first ATP Tour final. He takes on third seed Karen Khachanov in the hard court Almaty Open title decider. Who will lift the trophy on Sunday? Here's our match prediction.

Karen Khachanov is up to 24th in the rankings after reaching his second final of the year. The Russian won the hard court tournament played in Doha earlier this year. He's struggled for consistency in recent months but his results have improved of late.

His run to the final in Almaty follows a last eight appearance at the China Open. This week has seen him beat Otto Virtanen, Beibit Zhukayev and in the semi-finals, Aleksander Vukic. Only in the latter did he drop a set but has played three tie-breaks.

World number 118 Gabriel Diallo is 87th in the live rankings, his first time in the top 100. The 23-year-old has had success on the Challenger Tour but before this week hadn't reached an ATP Tour quarter-final in 2024.

He's had wins over Christopher O'Connell, Borna Coric, second seed Alejandro Tabilo and fourth-seeded Francisco Cerundolo. Only Tabilo has taken a set off him but he lacks experience at this level.
