Alexei Popyrin has already won one hard court Masters tournament this year. He won the Rogers Cup in Montreal with victories over five top 16 ranked players. The Australian also got to the last 16 of the US Open but his form then dipped.

His only win in five matches before this tournament had only seen one game played before his opponent retired. He's shown a return to form in Paris with wins over Matteo Berrettini and fourth seed Daniil Medvedev. He needed three sets to beat that seed, winning the final set on a tie-break.

Karen Khachanov is at 21st in the live rankings, three places ahead of his opponent. He's reached the final in both of his last two indoor hard court tournaments. The title was won in Almaty and last Sunday saw him lose to Jack Draper in Vienna.

The Russian has beaten Chris O'Connell and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard so far in Paris. Both matches went to a final set. We tip over 0.5 tie-breaks to be played.
