Kansas City Chiefs vs Houston Texans Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL

Kansas City Chiefs are the second seeds in the AFC after they were the comfortable winners of the west division. They host Houston Texans in the divisional play-offs and are the clear favourites to win the game. If they do, then the winner of the Baltimore Ravens v Tennessee Titans match will be waiting for them in the AFC Final with the winners going onto the Superbowl. The Chiefs ended the regular season with a 12-4 record and that was five wins clear of second placed Denver Broncos. Nine of their 12 games against other AFC sides ended in victory for the Chiefs. They are in their fifth play-offs in a row and come into this game having won their last six straight games. There have been some wins too with the last three all by at least ten points and an aggregate winning margin of 53 points. They will be looking for revenge though as they lost to Houston at home in week six.

The Texans finished top of AFC South with a 10-6 record. They won eight of their twelve games against fellow AFC sides and were seeded fourth for the postseason. Last weekend saw them beat Buffalo Bills in the wild card round but it was a major struggle for them. They had to come from 16-0 down to get that victory winning the last two quarters to level the scores and then win in OT. A much better performance is required at Kansas, who are unlikely to let such a lead slip. Houston had lost two of their previous four games before that wild card victory. They won at Kansas earlier in the season but the Chiefs have improved a great deal since then and with home advantage can win this match on a -6.5 point spread.
