The co-main event at UFC 313 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday will be a rematch between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev in the lightweight division. ‘The Highlight’ has a pro record of 26-5-0, while ‘Ataman’ is 12-3-0. Let’s get into the match prediction!
The number three ranked fighter in the division, Justin Gaethje, was originally supposed to face Dan Hooker in this match, but the latter was forced to withdraw due to a fractured hand.
Thus, the Highlight will now take on an opponent that he edged by majority decision back in UFC 286 in March 2023 in a battle that earned them Fight of the Night honours.
The American, a former lightweight champion, is returning to the Octagon following a knockout defeat to Max Holloway last April and has split his last six fights three wins and three defeats.
Meanwhile, Rafael Fiziev will be gracing the Octagon for the first time since tearing his ACL in defeat to Mateusz Gamrot in September 2023 and is looking to avoid a third straight defeat.
In his last match against Gaethje, Ataman began very well and took the lead in the first round with fast hands while also landing several front kicks to his opponent's body to keep him at a safe distance.
Looking at the tale of the tape, Fiziev has a one-inch reach advantage and is four years younger than his opponent, but Gaethje is the taller man by three inches and has twice as many fights under his belt.

Our Justin Gaethje vs Rafael Fiziev Prediction
While Justin Gaethje has not fought since his loss to Max Holloway in April, he has been training hard for Dan Hooker and it stands to reason that he could be the more prepared for this bout.
Rafael Fiziev has not fought since sustaining that ACL tear in September 2023, and knee injuries, as we know, do have a tendency to affect fighters over the long term - it also doesn’t help that he was called up at short notice. Despite this, Fiziev is the favourite here, which we feel could be great value for Gaethje backers. Our Justin Gaethje vs Rafael Fiziev prediction is Justin Gaethje wins the match.
