Second seed Andy Murray and unseeded Jurij Rodionov will meet in the final of the Surbiton Trophy on Sunday. Rodionov has won all four matches he has played in Surbiton without dropping a set. To advance to the final, he defeated Zizou Bergs by the loss of six games. It was his 27th win of the season and saw him move up 20 places to 114th in the live ranking. Sunday’s final will be his second of the campaign. He won the first in Biel, his third final success in a row. Rodionov lost to Murray in the first round here last season and should have this playing in his mind.

Andy Murray is coming from a win over last year’s winner, Jordan Thompson, in the semifinals in straight sets. This was his third 2-0 win at this competition. His win over Rodionov on his way to the semifinals last season is still fresh in mind and he’ll want a repeat. The win over Thompson in the last round was his 17th of the season in 26 matches played so far. The Brit former world number one is currently ranked 50th in the live ranking. He is also playing his second final of the season after his success in Aix en Provence. The three-time Grand Slam champion has won 53 titles across the three tennis levels and has experience on his side. He has however lost four of his last five finals and this should give Rodionov the belief that he can win here.
