This should be the best match of the round and possibly even the whole tournament as Rafael Nadal takes on Juan Martin del Potro in the Wimbledon quarter final. Nadal has won this title on three occasions but his last triumph was eight years ago. He made the final the year after but since then has failed to get past the fourth round with three losses inside the first two rounds. He is the current world number one, though seeded two for this tournament behind Roger Federer and is yet to drop a set. He's had a good draw though and this match against del Potro is his first against a seeded opponent and it'll be interesting to see just how well he can do.

His opponent is seeded fifth and like Nadal, he has yet to face a seeded player. He has dropped one set and that was in his win over Gilles Simon in the fourth round. That match went into a second day so while Nadal was sat at home resting, del Potro still had to finish his fourth round match. The Argentinian, like Nadal has had his fair share of injuries during his career and missed this tournament in 2010, 2014 and 2015. Only once before has he got past the fourth round here and that was when he got to the semi-final in 2013 when losing in five sets to Novak Djokovic.  He has reached two semi-finals in his last three Grand Slam tournaments losing in the last four to Nadal in the recent French Open winning just seven games. Nadal has yet to be given a serious test but he's in form and has beaten del Potro in their only two grass tournament matches, he can make it three to reach the last four and a possible showdown with Novak Djokovic.
