22nd seed Sebastian Korda begins his second Wimbledom campaign. He takes on unseeded Jiri Vesely with the winner facing either Christopher O'Connell or qualifier Hamad Medjedovic. Korda begins this grass court Grand Slam event ramked a career high 25th. That's 13 places higher than the American was at the start of 2023. Korda started the year well reaching a final in Adelaide and then getting to the last eight of the Australian Open. He made his return in April, reaching a clay court Challenger Tour event quarter final in Ostrava. He arrives at Wimbledon having lost each of his last five matches. On grass, Vesely has had two defeats, both to players ranked outside the top 190 at the time. Vesely has reached the fourth round twice at Wimbledon, the last time being in 2018. He lost in the third round last year being beaten by Tommy Paul in straight sets. We go for Korda to win this without dropping a set.
