Jiri Lehecka vs Tommy Paul Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Unseeded Jiri Lehecka bids to cause an upset in the Wimbledon third round. He takes on the 16th seed Tommy Paul with the winner up against either third seed Daniil Medvedev or unseeded Marton Fucsovics in round four. This is only the second time that Lehecka has played this grass court Grand Slam. His only other visit was last year and that ended with a first round defeat to 26th seed Filip Krajinovic after leading two sets to one. It's gone much better for him this year though with two good straight sets wins. The last round saw him knock out the 16th seed Francisco Cerundolo. He was highly impressive in that victory winning each of the sets by a 6-2 scoreline. The Czech only just missed out on being seeded and began this tournament ranked 37th and is up two places in the live rankings. He played two grass court warm-up events but was a bit unlucky with his draws. Lehecka lost in the last 16 in Stuttgart to Frances Tiafoe and at the same stage to Carlos Alcaraz at Queen's Club. Both the players beating him went on to win the tournament. 

Tommy Paul is attempting to get to the fourth round at Wimbldeon for the second successive year. 2023 was his first time in the main draw of this Grand Slam having twice failed to qualify. The American eventually lost to Cameron Norrie in the last 16. He began this tournament ranked a career high 15th and is up a place in the live list. Paul played three grass court warm-p events and reached the final in Eastbourne but didn't beat any top 40 ranked players. He was beaten by Francisco Cerundolo in three sets. That's the same Cerundolo that Lehecka beat so comfortably in the last round of this tournament. Cerundolo also beat Paul at Queen's Club. Paul had to go to four sets to get past Milos Raonic in the last round. This should be a tight match but our tip is to bet on Lehecka to knock out another seed.
