Jil Teichmann vs Petra Kvitová Prediction & Betting Tips - Ostrava, Czech Republic

Second seeded Petra Kvitova takes on unseeded Jil Tiechmann in the last eight of the Ostrava Open. Kvitova began this week as the world number 10 but is in a close battle with Belinda Bencic (who she could meet in the semi-finals) for that position and currently she's losing the fight. Kvitova has won one title this year, claiming victory in Doha six months ago. It's been a bit of an inconsistent year for the Czech and one that has seen a few spells off court due to injury. Only one semi-final has been reached in the last six months at a grass court tournament in Germany. Kvitova beat Anastasia Potapova to reach this stage.

Jil Tiechmann is world ranked 42 but up to a career high 38 in the live rankings. The 24-year-old beat Kvitova in Dubai earlier this year. The first set was won by her and then Kvitova retired hurt in the second. Tiechmann was as low as 76th in the rankings last month but has had a good run of form. Reaching the final of the Western & Southern Open boosted her ranking. Tiechmann lost in the final to Ashleigh Barty but beat Naomi Osaka, Belinda Bencic and Karolina Pliskova on the way. This week has seen her beat sixth seeded Angelique Kerber in straight sets and Alison Riske (finalist in Slovenia last week) in three.  Tiechmann can be backed to cause another upset.
