Jil Teichmann vs Jennifer Brady Prediction & Betting Tips - Lexington, The Top Seed Open

We're just weeks away from the US Open and it's good to see the WTA Tour making its comeback. The Top Seed Open has produced plenty of shocks this week and it's Jennifer Brady up against Jill Teichmann in the final. None of the eight seeds in this event even made it to the semi-finals and that includes top seeded Serena Williams who lost in the last eight. Brady is ranked 49th in the world but up to 43 in the live rankings. She is yet to win a WTA singles title and in Grand Slams, Brady has lost in the first round of the last three held, with a lot more success coming in doubles. This week has seen her in great form without a set dropped in four games. The first round saw her dispose of Britain's Heather Watson for the loss of just three games. Sixth seed Magda Linette only won five games against Brady and the quarter finals saw her drop just three games to Maria Bouzkova. A tougher task lay ahead of her in the last four when she took on rising star Coco Gauff. Brady's good form continued though as she beat the American youngster 6-2 6-4.

Swiss player Jill Tiechmann is 63rd in the rankings and this is her first time past the last sixteen this year. Her Grand Slam record has only seen a best of a second round at the US Open two years ago. Her form this week will give her hope of a better run when that Grand Slam takes place at the end of this month. Tiechmann hasn't lost a set in this tournament and beat the fifth seeded Yulia Putintseva in the second round. The semi-finals saw her beat Shelby Rogers who had beaten Serena Wiliams in the previous round. Reaching the final has taken her up to 54 in the live rankings but Brady looks in top form and she can get the win.
