Top seed Jessica Pegula has made it to the Adelaide International final and will take on unseeded Madison Keys for the title. This is their third career meeting and the first as a championship match. Below is our prediction.

Jessica Pegula has advanced to the 15th tour final of her career. It is the perfect way to start the campaign and she will hope to secure the title heading into the Australian Open.

Now up to sixth in the live ranking, Pegula defeated Yulia Putintseva in the semi-finals by straight sets. The American is yet to lose a set in Adelaide.

Pegula defeated Keys in San Diego three years ago in their first career meeting.

Madison Keys has also won against Pegula in previous battles. The American saw off her compatriot at the 2023 US Open also by straight sets which is the last time they matched up.

A former Adelaide champion, Keys will be confident of another success in both of her appearances in the South of Australia.

Now up to 17th in the live ranking, Keys defeated Liudmila Samsonova in the semi-finals to claim her ninth successive win in Adelaide. The 29-year-old won the second set against Samsonova and was ahead in the third before the Russian’s retirement.

She has now won six of seven fixtures this season.
