Jessica Pegula vs Camila Giorgi Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Cincinnati Open

The WTA circuit has moved to Cincinnati for the Western & Southern Open, another WTA 1000 series event. We could easily still be in Montreal though as Camila Giorgi takes on Jessica Pegula. Giorgi beat Pegula in the semi-final of the Canadian Open and then defeated Karolina Pliskova (who she could meet in the last 16 of this event) in Sunday's final. Giorgi has been given a special exemption to play in this tournament, little did she expect to be given a return match against Pegula. The Italian began last week as the world number 71 but is up to 34th in the live rankings. A good run in this tournament would likely see her be seeded at the US Open. Will this match come too early for her though?

Jessica Pegula is up to 26th in the rankings after her run to the semi-final in Montreal. It was a tough week for her with the semi-final against Giorgi being her fifth three-setter of the week. It looked as if the American just ran out of steam as her opponent overwhelmed her in the final set. She'll have had a day extra to recover from that match and is still 3-2 up on Giorgi in head-to-head matches. Last week saw her get wins over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Danielle Collins and Ons Jabeur, so she's clearly in fom. Back Pegula to get some revenge here.
