Jenson Brooksby vs Peter Gojowczyk Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Newport Open

The grass court season isn't over yet and we have the Hall of Fame Open in the USA this week. Jenson Brooksby takes on Peter Gojowczyk in the last eight, with the winner taking on either seventh seeded Jordan Thompson or Maxime Cressy in the semi-finals. Brooksby is ranked 152nd in the world with a career highest 147th achieved last month. That's a big improvement on the 307th position that he held at the start of 2021. Highlights of the year have included winning  Challenger tournaments held in South Africa, Tallahassee and Orlando , a final in Cleveland and a semi-final in an ITF tournament in Spain,  He did get through to the first round at Roland Garros, losing to Aslan Karatsev. Brooksby didn't play the European grass court season and this week has had wins over Evgeny Donskoy and a three set win over Denis Kudla.

Peter Gojowczyk is ranked 131st but three years ago was as high as 39th. The German has been on both the Challenger and ATP tour this year. He got to the last four of a Challenger event held in France and returened to that country for the ATP 250 event held in Montpellier. Wins came that week against Jan-Lennard Struff and Jiri Vesely before losing to Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi- final. On grass, he got to the last 16 in Stuttgart but failed to get through to the main draw at Wimbledon. The German beat Mitchell Kreuger in round one of this tournament and then knocked out fourth seeded Vasek Posposil in straight sets. He can get the win here to make it to the last four.
