Jelena Ostapenko vs Iga Swiatek Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Stuttgart Open

Second seed Iga Swiatek must create history on Saturday to progress in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.  The Pole faces unseeded Jelena Ostapenko in the last eight and she has lost all previous five matches against her. Here's our match prediction.

The most recent loss came in Doha this year with Swiatek only winning four games. That was on a hard court though and all their previous matches have been on that surface. 

Last year saw her win 26 out of 28 clay court matches with three titles won, including Roland Garros for the third successive year. That title is the last one that Swiatek has won. Only four games were lost against qualifier Jana Fett in her one match this week.

Jelena Ostapenko is the world number 24 and was the runner-up in Doha this year. The rest of her year has been nowhere near as successful and this is only her second quarter-final of 2025.

To reach this stage, Ostapenko has beaten Dayana Yastremska (who retired in the second set) and seventh-seeded Emma Navarro in three sets. Like her opponent, the 27-year-old has won the French Open but that was ten years ago and hasn't got past round three since.
