Jannik Sinner vs Stan Wawrinka Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

Jannik Sinner and Stan Wawrinka will square off in a Round of 16 clash at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open on Wednesday, with a place in the quarterfinals awaiting the victor. Sinner has already notched up one tournament victory this year which came in Montpellier at the start of February over Maxime Cressy (7-6, 6-3). The Italian followed up with another strong display in Rotterdam, overcoming the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Tallon Griekspoor, but came up just short against Daniil Medvedev in the final after winning the first set against the Russian. Following his withdrawal in Marseille last time out, in this tournament, Sinner has already beaten Richard Gasquet (6-3, 7-6) and Adrian Mannarino (7-6, 6-4) and will have his eyes firmly set on reaching his third final of the year in this one. 

Stan Wawrinka, meanwhile, has found it difficult to reach the final rounds of tournaments this year, reaching only the quarter-final stages in his last two tournaments. In Rotterdam, Wawrinka lost to this opponent (6-1, 6-3) and suffered a similar fate a couple of weeks later when he lost to Arthur Fils (6-2, 6-2) in the quarter-finals in Marseille. In this tournament, the Swiss beat Aleksander Vukic in the qualifier before taking down Miomir Kecmanovic in the round of 64. However, his best display came in the last round, where he narrowly beat the world number eight, Holgar Rune (6-2, 6-7, 7-5). Wawrinka has already caused a few upsets this year and will fancy himself to give Sinner a run in this one.
