Jannik Sinner vs Stan Wawrinka Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Jannik Sinner is the 10th seed at Wimbledon but grass is not his favourite surface. He takes on Stan Wawrinka in the first round with the winner up against either Daniel Altmaier of Mikael Ymer in round two. Sinner may be the seeded player here but he has never won a match at Wimbledon. Last year saw him lose in the first round and in 2019, Sinner didn't even get past the first qualifying round. That's not all though, the Italian has never won a main draw grass court match. He was the second seed at Eastbourne last week but maintained his sorry record with a three set loss to Tommy Paul. 

Now he returns to Wimbledon looking for that first elusive main draw win. He takes on Stan Wawrinka who received a wild card to play in this Grand Slam. Wawrinka has twice reached the last eight at Wimbledon, the last time being in 2015. Since then he has had three second rounds and one first round exit. Wawrinka is ranked 265th in the world but that's due to the time he has to spend off court due to a series of injuries. He's now aged 37 and ths is only his sixth tournament of the year. He's had some success though with runs to the last 16 in the Rome Masters and on grass at Queen's Club. This is his first match against Sinner on grass. There have been two previous meetings on hard courts and Wawrinka won both of those matches played three years ago. If this goes to four or five sets, Sinner is likely to get the win against his ageing and injury prone opponent.. A bet on Wawrinka winning a set is the safest way to get a win.
