Rafael Nadal is chasing his fourth straight French Open title and his 13th in all. He's barely been tested so far and is unlikely to be in this quarter final against Jannik Sinner. Nadal has had four straight sets victories on his way to the last eight. He conceded 10 games in the first round but since then has lost just 13 in his next three matches. Nadal is yet to play against a seeded opponent but far tougher tasks lie ahead of him if he is to win this event yet again. His only Grand Slam event this year has been the Australian Open, where he lost in the quarter finals. His warm-up event for this delayed French Open saw him lose in the quarter finals of the Rome Masters to Diego Schwartzman, who he could meet in the semi-finals.

Jannik Sinner was ranked 75th in the world when this tournament began. This is only the fourth Grand Slam main draw in which he has played. His previous best was a second round appearance in this year's Australian Open. This is the first time he's played in the French Open but had a good warm-up in Rome, reaching the third round and beating Stefanos Tsitsipas before going down in three sets to Grigor Dimitrov. In this tournament he has beaten 11th seed David Goffin (his second win over the Belgian in 2020) and sixth seeded Alexander Zverev in the fourth round. Two good wins, but now he's taking on an in-form Nadal on clay. The tip here is for Nadal to win with under 27.5 games played.
