Jannik Sinner will take on Grigor Dimitrov for the second time in his career when the two meet in the round of 32 at the Miami Masters. Sinner, ranked number 11 in the world, has had a good year to date, making two final appearances. The first came in Montpellier, where he lifted the trophy against Maxime Cressy (7-6, 6-3), and the second came a week later in Rotterdam, though he was unable to overcome the in-form Daniil Medvedev, eventually losing  in three sets. The Italian then went into the Indian Wells Masters but lost to eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz.in the last four. Sinner got off to a great start, overcoming Laslo Djere in the previous round, and he will now set his sights on a second career win over Dimitrov. 

The world number 27, Grigor Dimitrov, on the other hand, has found goings a little tougher this year as he searches to find his best form, Some niggling injuries along the way haven't helped his cause. To date, his best showing of the year came in Rotterdam, where he reached the semi-final stages but, like his opponent, was unable to overcome Daniil Medvedev, losing in straight sets and only winning three games.). He followed that with a decent showing in Marseille by reaching the quarter-final before falling surprisingly to Alexander Bublik and thereafter was forced to retire injured at Indian Wells. Dimitrov made hard work of the first match in this tournament, eventually beating Jan Lennard Struff in three sets  after losing the first.. The Bulgarian looks some way from his best at present and will need to put on an incredible display to overcome this opponent.
