Fifth seed Tommy Paul and unseeded Jan-Lennard Struff meet on Thursday in the second round at the Stuttgart Open. Advancing from this tie will set up a quarterfinal clash against either top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas or unseeded Richard Gasquet. However, after a dominant display against Zhang Zhizhen in the first round, he will fancy his chances against Paul. Struff defeated Zhang in under an hour and lost just five games in the contest.
