Quentin Halys’ progress in Gstaad has earned him a match against fifth seed Jan-Lennard Struff in the semi-finals. The winner of this match on Saturday will play one of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger-Aliassime or Matteo Berrettini for the title. Here’s a look at the stats and a prediction for the clash.

Jan-Lennard Struff is two wins away from securing his second title of the year. The German won his maiden tour triumph in the Bavarian Championships back in April. Struff, who has contested three of four tour finals on clay, defeated fourth seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the quarters.

He won in three sets to secure his 14th victory in 18 clay outings. That in turn moved him up three places in the live ranking to 34th.

This will be the second career meeting between these two players; Struff won the first. Qualifier Quentin Halys is through to only his second-ever tour semi-final. The Frenchman, who lost in the last four in Estoril last year, defeated fellow qualifier Gustavo Heide in the last round.

He won in straight sets to extend his current winning run to five matches. Halys has been in great form in recent weeks and won nine times in his last 10 fixtures. The 27-year-old’s campaign in Gstaad has boosted his world ranking. He has moved close to 50 places after his quarter-final victory and is now placed 144th in the live ranking.
