Jan-Lennard Struff vs Pedro Cachin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open

Jan-Lennard Struff is up against fellow unseeded player Pedro Cachin in the Italian Open first round. Seeded opposition will be faced in round two with the scheduled opponent being the sixth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. This is an outdoor hard court Masters tournament so a good run will produce plenty of ranking points. Struff is 41st in the live rankings and needs a good run if he wants to be seeded at Roland Garros. He's 26th in the Live ATP Race and has had a good clay court season so far. He won the BMW Open tournament in Munich, beating Taylor Fritz in the final. The German also beat Holger Rune and Felix Auger-Aliassime in that tournament. This is his first time in Rome since 2019 when reaching the third round.

Pedro Cachin got to the last 32 in Madrid in his last tournament and it was a memorable one for the Argentinian. That's because before that tournament he hadn't won a match on the ATP Tour since July 2023, a run of 14 matches. Cachin finally got some wins under his belt before being beaten by Rafael Nadal. The Argentinian is 101st in the live rankings but outside the top 200 in the ATP Live Race. He has shown good form in the past on this surface and won the Gstaad tournament last year. He's not in that kind of form at present though and we tip Struff to win in straight sets.
