Fifth seed Daniil Medvedev is going well again at Wimbledon this year. He takes on unseeded Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round. For whoever wins this match, their fourth round opponent will be either 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov or unseeded Gael Monfils.

Medvedev reached the semi-finals of this grass court Grand Slam last year. The Russian is in the third round for the fourth successive time at Wimbledon. He's still chasing his second title on this surface, his only one so far being the 2021 Mallorca Open. 

He's reached two finals since and is currently fifth in both the overall rankings and Live Race. This year has seen him play just the one warm-up tournament. That was the Halle Open where he was beaten in the last 16.

This week has seen him beat Aleksandar Kovacevic in straight sets and then Alexandre Muller in four. He leads Struff 5-1 in previous meetings but this is their first match in three years. On grass, the score between them is 1-1.

Jan-Lennard Struff is up to 37th in the live rankings and 24th in the Live Race. He's in the third round at Wimbledon for the first time since 2019. The last two years have seen him fail to win a match but it's gone better for him this year.

Both of his matches this week have been won in four sets. He's defeated Fabian Marozsan and in the second round 32nd seed Zhizhen Zhang. The German had to come from behind to win that match after dropping the first set. We tip Medvedev to win this match.
