Jakub Mensik vs Learner Tien Prediction & Betting Tips - Next Gen ATP Finals

Third seeded Jakub Mensik takes on  fifth seed Learner Tien in his first match in this  indoor hard court ATP Next Gen Finals. This is a round-robin group match with the other two players to be faced being top seed Arthur Fils and eighth seeded Joao Fonseca.

There are two groups with the top couple of players in each going into the semi-finals. Unlike most tournaments, these matches are the best of five sets but to win a set only four games are needed, so perhaps lower stakes for this tournament for players aged 20 and under.

Jakub Mensik is ranked 48th and that's a career-high for the 20-year-old. He's had a lot of success on the ATP main tour this year. Highlights include being the losing finalist in Doha. Most recently, he's reached the last eight in Shanghai and Vienna. He's had some notable wins with top players beaten including Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov (twice), Alexei Popyrin (twice) and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Learner Tien is the world number 122 and has only a 3-4 record on the ATP Tour this year. Most of his year has been spent on the Challenger and ITF Tours with a string of titles. We tip Mensik to win this in straight sets.
