British number one Jack Draper will begin his Miami Open campaign against Jakub Mensik. The two face off in the second round after Draper got a bye from the first round. We have the prediction for this match below. 

Mensik arrives here aware of his underdog status, ranked more than 40 places below Draper. He also suffered defeat in the only meeting between them, back in 2023 in a challenger event.

However, having beaten Roberto Bautista-Agut in the first round and earlier reaching the Cap Cana Challenger semis, he can afford some confidence.

He is on a 12-7 record and only lost once in the last five matches.

While Mensik will look at his run with much positivity, it is nothing compared to Draper’s in the past few weeks. For the first time, and after a series of confident displays, Draper has broken into the top-10.

He is fresh from bagging the biggest title of his career, at the Indian Wells and seeks to secure the Sunshine Double. Carrying into this game a 13-2 record, the Brit will also be going for a first win over Mensik on the tour.

In his last six matches, he only dropped one set, and that was a very strategic move, against one of the best – Carlos Alcaraz. In the last 10 matches, Draper only lost once.
