Jakub Mensik vs Alexander Bublik Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

23rd seed Alexander Bublik has a good record at Wimbledon and reached round four last year. He begins his 2024 campaign with a tricky match against unseeded Jakub Mensik.

Whoever makes it through to the next round (the last 64) will face either unseeded Arthur Cazaux or qualifier Zizou Bergs. Bublik has reached at least the third round here for the past three years.

He's 23rd in the live rankings but four places higher than that in the ATP Race. The 27-year-old reached the last eight of this year's Stuttgart grass court tournament but had to retire in his match against Lorenzo Musetti.

That was followed by a last 16 appearance in Halle but he lost his first match at Eastbourne last week. That saw him beaten in straight sets by lucky loser Aleksandar Vukic.

Jakub Mensik is in the WImbledon Championships for the first time in his career. He's not got a great deal of experience on this surface but did get on well in Mallorca last week. He reached the last eight, losing to eventual champion Alejandro Tabilo.

Before that though he'd played in the Libema Open and in Halle and lost both his matches. Mensik is up to 78th in the live rankings and 55th in the Live Race but those rankings owe little to his ability on grass.
