Qualifier Jakub Mensik has made it through to the quarter-finals of the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. He takes on the second seed Alex de Minaur for a place in the last four. Here's our match prediction.

Alex de Minaur is the world number ten and can climb to eighth if reaching the final of this indoor hard court tournament. The Australian is ninth in the ATP Live Race so still in with a good chance of qualifying for the end-of-season Tour Finals.

He'd have probably confirmed that place already but for the injuries he has had in recent months. This is only his third tournament since having to withdraw from his Wimbledon quarter-final against Novak Djokovic.

Since then, he's reached the last eight of the US Open and last week lost in the quarter-finals of the European Open in Antwerp. In Vienna, he's beaten Jan-Lennard Struff (after losing the first set) and then Flavio Cobolli, who retired in the second set.

Jakub Mensik has risen to 47th in the live rankings and that's his first time in the top 50. The 19-year-old  had to go through the qualifying rounds and has so far won four matches in this tournament and beaten seeded Alexei Popyrin.

This is his second consecutive quarter-final and we tip him to beat de Minaur.
