June just keeps on getting better for new British number one Jack Draper. After winning the BOSS Open in Stuttgart last Sunday, he's now in the last eight at Queen's Club after beating Carlos Alcaraz on Thursday. The unseeded player takes on Tommy Paul who is the fifth seed in this grass court tournament. The American is the only seeded player remaining in the top half of the draw. Whoever reaches the last four will face either Sebastian Korda or qualifier Rinky Hijikata. Draper is up to a career-high 28th in the live rankings and is two places higher in the ATP Race. This week has seen him win both his matches without dropping a set. Before beating the top seed Carlos Alcaraz, he also defeated Mariano Navone.

Tommy Paul may be the higher ranked of the two players but he has a poor record against Draper. He's only won one of their four matches but this is their first match played on a grass court. They've played twice this year and are 1-1. Paul won in four sets in the Australian Open but then Draper beat him in Acapulco with only four games lost, all in the second set. Paul is ranked 13th in the world in both the live rankings and the ATP Race. This is his second grass court tournament of the year and he also reached the last eight in last week's Libema Open. Last year saw him get to the final of the Eastbourne grass court event. This week has gone well with two straight sets wins over Sebastian Baez and Alejandro Tabilo, both unseeded.
