British number one Jack Draper is set to take on American number one Taylor Fritz in his next assignment at the BNP Paribas Open. These two clash in the fourth round, with a quarter-final match against Ben Shelton or Brandon Nakashima awaiting. Read on for our prediction.

Draper needed an hour and 42 minutes to dispatch Jenson Brooksby in straight sets in the last round. That was his second win in straight sets at Indian Wells, taking his season’s record to 9-2.

He now has the chance to grace the quarters at this event for the first time ever.

Draper arrived in California having lost in the Doha final and has looked determined to go all the way here.

This match marks the fifth meeting between these two players. The first four saw each player win twice. Fritz lost the latest, on an indoor hardcourt in Paris.

This meeting, therefore, presents the American with a good chance at revenge. The world number four is coming off a three-set win over Alejandro Tabilo in the last round.

He is the more experienced player at this event, having won the Indian Wells title in 2022. His recent seasons have, however, been marked by low returns, the American falling off at this stage last year.

He also suffered early exits at the Australian Open and Dallas this year.
