Jack Draper vs Soonwoo Kwon Prediction & Betting Tips - Adelaide 2, Australia, Qualifying

Jack Draper continues to climb up the world rankings. The British player takes on Soonwoo Kwon in the semi-finals of the Adelaide International 2 tournament. Whoever wins this match will be up against either fourth seeded Roberto Bautista Agut or wild card Thanassi Kokkinakis. Draper began this week ranked 40th and is up to 38th in the live rankings. He's of course preparing for the Australian Open and found out today that his first round opponent is the defending champion (but not in form) Rafael Nadal. Draper would love to go into that match having just won a tournament. He's having a strange start to the year because in the first Adelaide International tournament, he beat his opponent in this match (losing just three games) and then lost to Karen Khachanov. This week has seen him get revenge on Khachanov (seeded third this week) in the quarter finals. Before that slice of revenge he'd defeated Chris O'Connell and eighth seeded Tommy Paul, again without losing a set.

Soonwoo Kwon will certainly want to do better than he did against Draper last week. He started this week ranked 84th in the world but is now up to 73rd and could rise another seven places if winning this match. He's also having a strange time in Adelaide this week because he's already lost a match. He beat Vasek Pospisil in three sets in his first qualifying match but then was beaten by Tomas Machac (again in a three-setter) and it looked as if that was the end of his week. However, he was then given a place in the main draw as a lucky loser. Who did he play in the first round? None other than Machac and this time he beat him in straight sets. Wins have followed against second seeded Pablo Carreno Busta (after losing the first set) and in the quarter finals, qualifier Mikael Ymer for the loss of just three games. Now he has to try and get revenge for last week's heavy loss to Draper and it's going to be a tough task.
