Italy vs Wales Prediction & Betting Tips - Six Nations
by | in Six Nations Predictions
Italy ended up losing all of their Six Nations games last year but it could have been a different story. They so nearly beat France in the opening match but missed a vital penalty right at the death. It was all downhill after that and they ended up with a points difference of -145 and that included a 67-14 hammering in Wales. There has been some improvement since Conor O'Shea became coach and they beat South Africa last November. Consistency isn't their strong point as the week after that great win, they lost to Tonga! Michele Campangnaro is in top form though and scoring plenty of tries so he could be a handful for the Welsh side. Wales aren't expected to finish any higher than third in this year's Six Nations. With the new bonus points system they'll be looking to score plenty of tries in this game. Rob Howley is in temporary charge and Alun Wyn Jones is their new captain. Each year in the Six Nations there seems to be one or two teams who are going through a transitional period and Wales fit that description. They will struggle against the likes of England and Ireland but should be backed to get a win away in Italy. It won't be a landslide victory though so go for them to win on a -11 handicap.
