The last quarter-final matchup in the Women’s Volleyball competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics will see Italy taking on Serbia on Wednesday night. The winner of this match will face either China or Turkey in the last four. Here’s our match prediction.

Italy were far too good for the rest of the teams in Pool C as they clinched top spot and a place in the knockouts dropping only a single set along the way. 

That lost set came in their opponent match against the Dominican Republic, while they got past the Netherlands and Turkey with relative ease, both by 3-0 scorelines and by conceding over 20 points just twice. 

Gli Azzurri have now won nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions, with their only defeat during that time coming against none other than their upcoming opponents in a friendly last month. 

Meanwhile, Serbia earned their quarter-final spot as one of the best third-placed teams, as they managed four points in their three group-stage matches. 

Their results included a 3-0 opening match win against France, but that was followed by a 3-2 loss to the USA in match two before they were outclassed by China 3-1 in the final group-stage match. 

The Serbs are now carrying a record of four wins and six losses in their last 10 games into this fixture, and are unsurprising considered the underdogs at the books.
