Italy will take on the Czech Republic in the final quarter-final tie at this year’s United Cup tournament. The winner will advance to play the United States for a place in the final. Below is our prediction for this match.

Italy qualified for the knockout rounds after winning Group D. The Europeans won both of their ties without losing a single match. Represented by Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli in the Singles events, Italy have emerged as heavy favourites for this year's title.

Runners-up in the inaugural edition in 2023, Italy had a disappointing campaign last year and failed to make it out of the group stages.

The Czech Republic has made it through to the United Cup knockout rounds for the first time. Represented by Karolina Muchova and Tomas Machac in Singles, the Czech finished as runners-up in Group B.

The Central European nation finished with the best record among the three runners-up from the host city of Sydney. Czechia defeated Norway 2-1 in their opening tie of the tournament but were pegged back by the same scoreline by group winners Poland.

Muchova and Machac have both won once in their Singles events and once together in the Mixed Doubles.
