Ireland vs Wales Prediction & Betting Tips - Autumn Nations Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in Rugby Predictions
The Irish squad have to bounce back from the loss in France that cost them the Six Nations title. Ireland host Wales in this new Autumn Nations Cup and will look to continue their good run against the Welsh team. They have won three of their last four games against Wales last losing to them at home in 2015. In the recent Six Nations they beat the Welsh side 24-14 in February. Leinster winger James Lowe (born in New Zealand) has been chosen to make his international debut in this game. There are seven changes from the team that lost in Paris with Ronan Kelleher coming in as hooker and Iain Henderson back from suspension. With home games in this tournament against Wales and Georgia, they will be confident of getting two wins before a final game, away to England.
Wales made a poor job of defending their Six Nations title, winning just one of their five matches and finishing fifth. Their most recent game after the long break saw them lose at home to Scotland. Now they travel to Ireland for this new Autumn Nations Cup tournament. Flanker Justin Tipuric comes into the squad or this game. He was going to play against Scotland but had to withdraw u to tonsilitis. Rhys Webb is still out injured but could return in their game against England on the 28th. This is the first game since defence coach Byron Hawward lost his job. They will certainly need to cut out the errors that have been plaguing them for the past few games. A bet on Ireland to win this match is the suggested tip.

Our Ireland vs Wales Prediction
Ireland lost in France in their final Six Nations match and that cost them the title. Now they have their eyes set on winning the first ever Autumn Nations Cup. Their home form is good with wins over Scotland, Wales and Italy. Only their away form cost them the Six Nations title. Their first two games in this tournament are both at home, beginning with this game against Wales. Recent form against the Welsh is impressive and the visitors had a poor Six Nations campaign.
