Ireland got their world cup campaign off to a good start with a 50-7 win over Canada. That was the expected result and another win against Romania is definitely on the cards this weekend.  Ireland managed a bonus point in that game against Canada and are four points behind France who have won both their games but only earned a bonus point in one of them. Who wins this pool all depends on the result of the France v Ireland game so Ireland need to keep their good form going here.  Romania gave France a bit of a game for a while when they met on Wednesday. Eventually though they lost 38-11 but that points difference was more down to France not firing on all cylinders. France made 13 changes from the team that beat Italy and that's the main reason the score was 3-3 after half an hour. Romania are ranked 17th in the world at present and have lost all eight of their internationals against Ireland at an average of 31 points. Twice they have lost to Ireland in pool stages of the world cup and there seems to be little reason why that shouldn't become three after this game. Ireland want to keep building momentum and can get a good win here.
