Ireland vs Australia Prediction & Betting Tips - Test Matchs
by Steve Ashfield | in Rugby Predictions
After a home loss to New Zealand, Ireland have won the two games played since then. They look to make it three wins in a row when they host Australia on Saturday. The Irish side have had wins over Argentina and Fiji and this will be their final match before taking on England at home in the Six Nations next February. It's also their last match for a while with head coach Andy Farrell in charge. He's temporarily standing aside as he'll be coaching the British Lions next summer, so Simon Easterby will be in charge for the Six Nations.
The Wallabies have played three matches on this tour and won two of them. They had two good wins over England and Wales but lost to Scotland last weekend. They are coached by Joe Schmidt who used to be the head coach for Ireland. Can he get a win against them? Read our match prediction.

Ireland - Australia: Form Analysis
Ireland bid to make it three wins in a row when hosting Australia this weekend. They have won their last three matches against the Wallabies, though the largest winning margin in those wins was five points. The most recent match was played in Dublin two years ago with Ireland winning 13-10. Their last loss to Australia was six years ago and they haven't lost at home to them since 2013.
After a loss to New Zealand in their first autumn international, Ireland have beaten Argentina (though they failed to score in the second half) and then put 52 points past Fiji last weekend.
Australia are looking to end their tour on a high.
Australia have won two of their three autumn internationals. Their hopes of an unbeaten tour ended when after a last-gasp win at Twickenham and a win against Wales, they were beaten by Scotland last weekend.
The two wins will have helped their confidence though after losing five of their six matches in this summer's Rugby Championship.

Our Ireland vs Australia Prediction
Ireland have had a mixed autumn international series. Their long unbeaten home record which stretched all the way back to 2021 was lost when being beaten by New Zealand. Since then though they have had wins over Argentina and Fiji and will want to end the year with a win over Australia.
The Wallabies fought back to beat England and then had a convincing win in Wales. They were brought down to earth last weekend when losing to Scotland and have a poor recent record against Ireland. Our main Ireland v Australia prediction is Ireland to win on a -13.5 points handicap.
