The Houston Texans are on the road this week when they travel to Indianapolis for a clash with the Colts. The 4-9 Texans have lost their last two matches, the first of which was at home against the Colts. On that occasion, the Colts won 26-20. It is a defeat that means the Texans have lost four of their last five encounters with the Colts. The home side has a 9-4 record this season and enters this game on the back of two successive victories. Jonathan Taylor was one of the standout players in the Colts 44-27 win at the Raiders last week, hitting two touchdowns and 20 rushes in a superlative performance. The 21-year-old rookie is enjoying a season to remember in the NFL. This breakout year is bad news for the Texans, who struggled against the Bears last time out. The Texans have an awful defensive record this season, having the second-worst numbers for rush defence, allowing ball carriers to average five yards per carry.

The Texans aren't much better when it comes to pass defence either. Bears QB Mitch Trubisky had a superb time against the Texans, throwing three TD passes against his hapless opponents. It's not surprising given that the Texans have the worst pass defence record in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Colts have a great defence by any measure, the third-best rush backline in the NFL ensuring they win more games than they lose. Yet, despite the gulf that these statistics show, the recent clash between the Texans and Colts was relatively close. Don't expect a similar story here. Back the Colts -7.0.
