The Houston Rockets are away to the Indiana Pacers in their next NBA match, seeking to return to winning ways. Both teams sit in fifth place in their respective conferences, but the Rockets, out in the West, have a better record. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Pacers are coming off a 127-112 victory at home over the Bulls. This was their 34th win of the season, bouncing back after a loss to the Heat in Miami.

Rick Carlisle’s men, who have improved to a 34-25 record, are seeking to secure home-court advantage for the playoffs. They currently are tied with fourth-placed Milwaukee on the same record. The Pacers haven’t lost at home to the Rockets since 2018.

The Rockets defeated the Pacers in the first meeting of the season back in November. Much has changed since then. Ime Udoka’s men arrive for this meeting from two losses.

They ended a three-game homestand with a loss to the Kings and then started a three-game trip with a loss in OKC. Houston fell 137-128 to the Thunder in the first game of a back-to-back.

They have now dropped to 4.5 games of the play-in bracket with a 37-24 record.

Steven Adams, Tari Eason, Dillon Brooks, Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson are questionable. Fred VanVleet, however, is out with an ankle issue.
