Pakistan, Afghanistan and Namibia all play before this game. Barring rain, India and New Zealand will begin this match four points behind the top two with two points for a win. India lost to Pakistan in their opening game and were well beaten by ten wickets. They batted first and slipped to 6-2 but recovered to score 151-7 with Kohli hitting 57. The Indians had no answer to the Pakistan batting. No wickets were taken by India and Pakistan won with 14 balls to spare. They will have to bat and bowl better in this match. New Zealand also lost to Pakistan in their only game so far. They batted first and scored 134-8 with no batsmen reaching 30. They did take wickets and reduced Pakistan to 87-5. Malik and Asif Ali saw them home with eight balls to spare. The loser of this game won’t be eliminated but will find it very hard to finish in the top two. India do need to bowl better but they have the batting line-up to see them win this game.
