India made a late entry into the 2019 Cricket World Cup but finally got on the field and began with an impressive victory over South Africa. The Indian side are two-time previous winners of this tournament and currently ranked second behind England in the world rankings. They put on a good all-round display against the South Africans with an unbeaten century by Rohit Sharma seeing India home with 14 balls to spare. Before that they had put on an impressive bowling performance with Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar both taking two wickets.

Australia have had their problems in the past few years and slipped down to fifth in the one-day world rankings. They have David Warner and Steve Smith back after their bans and despite mass booing from the crowd, both are in good form. They have won both of their games so far in this tournament with a victory over Afghanistan followed by a win against the West Indies. The latter of those matches was a real struggle after an early batting collapse against the West Indian pace bowlers. This should be a great match, so let's hope the weather is good. India will have gained a lot of confidence and and can get a win from this game.
