India vs Australia Prediction & Betting Tips - ODI Bilateral Series
by Devesh Jaganath | in Cricket Predictions
The ICC ODI’s top-ranked teams will clash this week when India welcomes Australia to the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday for the first of three ODI’s. The hosts will be full of confidence coming into this series after winning the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2-1, which followed a 3-0 win in their previous ODI series against New Zealand. India will go into this series without the services of the elegant skipper Rohit Sharma who will be missing due to family commitments, while Shreyas Iyer will miss out through injury. India is unbeaten in ODI’s in 2023 and will want to build momentum as they draw closer to their home World Cup later this year.
Australia’s last ODI series came in November 2022 against England, right after their T20 World Cup triumph, and they won that series in comprehensive fashion 3-0. Like their opponents, Australia will also be without their regular ODI skipper Pat Cummins as well as paceman Josh Hazelwood with the pair missing out through injury. However, David Warner and Glenn Maxwell have both been cleared to join their compatriots after the pair were sidelined through injuries. This will give the Australians a huge boost in the batting department, with both players able to score freely when they are in form. Australia will be keen to right their test tournament disappointments in this format of the game and lay down a marker for the World Cup.

Our India vs Australia Prediction
It’s always likely to be an exciting match when the world’s number one and number two ranked teams square off, and we are expecting the same here in front of what will be an electric atmosphere in Mumbai. The pace attack of Australia was almost non-existent during the test series and will be raring to go in the limited-overs format. However, they come up against arguably the best batting lineup in the world here, and Wankhede is known to be a batsman’s paradise. It’s going to be an incredible match, but we expect the host's incredible home form to prevail once again. Our India v Australia prediction is a win for India.
