World number two Iga Swiatek will take on seventh-ranked Ons Jabeur in the final round-robin match at the WTA Finals on Friday. The Pole currently leads the Chetumal Group with a 2-0 record. These two have faced each other six times, with Swiatek leading 4-2. She began the tournament with a solid performance against Marketa Vondrousova, winning in straight sets, including a 6-0 win in the second set. The 22-year-old then faced Coco Gauff in game two and dominated the first set 6-0. The American put up a better fight in the second but was unable to level the match, losing the set 7-5. However, she was unable to replicate that form in game two against Coco Gauff. The American was utterly dominant and claimed the match in straight sets while dropping only one game. Jabeur last faced this opponent at the US Open in 2023 and lost in straight sets. However, she did get the better of the Pole a year earlier at Wimbledon.
