Top seed Iga Swiatek will play 18th seed Madison Keys in the semi-finals of the 2024 Madrid Open. The winner will play Yulia Putintseva, Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka or Mirra Andreeva in the final. Iga Swiatek is just one win away from equaling her career best in Madrid achieved last year. She finished as runner-up last season and will be determined to go all the way this season. She has now compiled a 7-3 record with four of her wins coming in five outings on clay. Keys has won more than two matches in a row for the first time since September. Her Madrid success has moved her up four places to 16th in the live ranking. The 29-year-old defeated Swiatek in straight sets the last time they met, which was two seasons ago in Cincinnati.
