Defending champion Iga Swiatek takes on unseeded Karolina Muchova on Saturday June 10th in the Roland Garros final. One worry is out of the way for Swiatek after her semi-final win over Beatriz Haddad Maia. With Aryna Sabalenka losing to Muchova, the Pole is guaranteed to retain her position as world number one. Her next task is to become the first player since Justine Henin in 2007 to win two Roland Garros titles in a row. A win for Swiatek will see her win this title for the third time, an incredible record considering this is only the fifth time she's played this tournament. The 22-year-old has made it to the final at Roland Garros without dropping a set. A straight sets win here will make it the second time that Swiatek has won the Roland Garros title without losing a set. 

Karolina Muchova will want to follow in the footsteps of her opponent. Iga Swiatek won the Roland Garros title in 2020 and was unseeded. The Czech now bids to do that as well and knows that Swiatek has never beaten her. Their only meeting was in 2019 in Prague where Muchova came from behind to get the win. That was on clay but the Pole was only ranked 95th at the time. Muchova is up to a career high 16th after beating Sabalenka in the last four. Beating the world number one will take her up to tenth in the rankiings after starting this tournament in 43rd position. The 26-year-old has beaten two of the top ten in the world on her way to this final. The first round saw her knock out eighth seeded Maria Sakkari. It's been a great run to her first Grand Slam final but the tip here is for Swiatek to win in straight sets.
